Glenn Orgias is an independent energy markets advisor with over 20 years of experience across electricity, renewable energy, gas, coal supply, and carbon markets. He provides commercial and strategic advice to developers, investors, network businesses, large users, and policymakers.
Glenn specialises in:

Asset transactions — Commercial oversight of more than $10bn in acquisitions and divestments, including Yanco Delta (1.5 GW), Stockyard Hill (530 MW), Yarabee Solar (900 MW), Acumen metering, and multiple power station and infrastructure transactions.

Energy trading & portfolio management — Former Trading Manager and Group Manager for Origin Energy’s wholesale electricity, carbon, and renewable portfolios.

Energy agreements & PPAs — Led negotiation and management of major structured agreements including renewable PPAs, storage agreements, Gentrader arrangements, and gas transport and supply contracts.

Regulatory strategy & market design — Led Origin teams on ARENA agreements, Capacity Investment Scheme tenders, and Access Rights in Renewable Energy Zones.

Long-duration storage & carbon investment — Oversaw early-stage storage investment assessments and led Origin’s investment in Climate Asset Management’s global Nature-Based Carbon Fund.
Glenn is also the Chair of AusNet’s Transmission Stakeholder Advisory Panel, guiding independent input into AusNet’s 2027–2032 Transmission Revenue Reset Proposal.
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) from the University of Newcastle, a Diploma in Financial Markets (AFMA), and is a graduate of the AICD Company Directors Course.
